Pedro Mimoso is director of business development at the Pólo de Inovação de Engenharia de Polímeros. 

Master in mechanical engineering in the specialty of production technologies by the faculty of engineering of the University of Porto, he is, since June 2020, director of business development and consultant in polymer-based structures at PIEP. His journey in R&D began in 2008, as a researcher in the composite materials and structures unit at INEGI, where he developed activity in the transfer of composite technologies to companies up to the pre-industrial implementation phase.

From 2014 he led the aeronautics team in the design and manufacture of various aeronautical structures including composite furniture (galleys), with particular emphasis on the simulation and design of composite structures and the implementation of appropriate production processes.

These activities also included the design of molds and integration of components manufactured by resin infusion, Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), prepregs with autoclave, and Prepregs out-of-autoclave, as well as development of processes for forming suitable thermoplastic matrix composites. for overmolding thermoplastics for the construction, automotive, shipbuilding and aerospace industries.
