Hugo Vaz is a multidisciplinary designer with more than 20 years of experience, collaborating with companies in the field of industrial design and furniture. In addition to his activities as a designer, Hugo shares his knowledge and experience as a teacher, he is an Adjunct Guest Professor at Esmad-P.Porto where he teaches in the Industrial Design degree and in the Furniture and Spaces Design Ctesp.

Hugo also teaches in the Product Design Master’s at ESAD-Matosinhos. With a degree in Equipment Design (2002), a Postgraduate in Furniture Design (2013), a Master’s Degree in Design (2018) and a Specialist Title in Industrial Design (2023), he believes that design is a powerful tool for transformation.  Hugo’s work has been recognised with a Red Dot Design Award (2015),  with the Design and Design International Award (2015) and his work has been exhibited at various events, including Expo 2020 in Dubai.
